According to the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), currently the competitors to Vietnam’s shrimp, India and Thailand, are being adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which affects the supply and export capacity of these countries. In the coming time, Vietnam’s shrimp export opportunities will increase sharply if Vietnam continues to control the Covid-19 pandemic well. For Tra fish, the supply is gradually stabilizing, creating many advantages for Tra fish exports to accelerate in the second and third quarters of 2021.
According to the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development, in the coming time, Vietnam needs to continue to promote tuna exports to the EU because this is a market with high demand and many advantages from the European Union - Vietnam Free Trade Agreement between the two countries (EVFTA).
