Vietnam and India cooperate for fisheries development
India is one of the top ten leading trade partners of Vietnam and Vietnam is in the top 17 trade partners of India in the world and the top four biggest partners in the ASEAN region. In 2021, the bilateral relation brought in over USD 12 billion. India is hoping to work out a cooperation scheme for further trade development between the two countries.
Export of seafood - business perspective of Vietnamese enterprises
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam's seafood export has had an impressive year with an increase of 6% compared to 2020, reaching nearly 9 billion USD. In which, the shrimp industry accounted for nearly 45% and the pangasius industry accounted for 18%, reaching $3.9 billion and $1.6 billion respectively. Regarding the general business activities, enterprises in the industry can be divided into two prominent directions: one is to reverse the current to recover strongly; the second is continuing the downward trend due to the inability to control rising costs.

The seafood export value in April 2021 was estimated at 650 million USD, bringing the seafood export value in the first 4 months of 2021 to 2.39 billion USD, up 6.1% over the same period in 2020. Japan, China and South Korea continue to be the top 4 import markets of Vietnamese seafood in the first 3 months of 2021, accounting for 57.2% of the total seafood export value. In the first 3 months of 2021, seafood export value increased in most markets. In which, the market with the strongest increase in value was Russia (+55%).
